    Just purchased the peek a few days ago and I must say it is a great device. The only thing which I do not know if it is a defect but when I do receive an email it vibrates and sounds but the sound is low. Even set to the loud setting. Is there a way I can raise it?

    Thanks for the thinking the Peek is a great device. We like it and use it for our work email!

    Now you can't adjust the sound to be any louder than the high setting. We had lots of heated debates and beta testing that seemed to conclude that the "highest" setting was good.

    If you really think you have a defective unit - call us 1 877 677 7335 and our care agents can help make sure that your Peek is in good health.

    Who else thinks the ringer should be louder or softer or do you even use it?

    I would also like the ringer to be a bit louder. I use both the ringer (on the loudest setting) and vibrate.

    Most of the time the loudest setting is sufficient, but it's easy to miss when there's a lot of ambient noise. Having said that, since having it a few days I've become more accustomed to listening for the ringer and vibration, so it's not as annoying as it was at first.

    Why not have more options? Instead of low, med., high, have a 1-5 thing or something.

    Yes, I too would definitely like a louder alarm setting. The current volume and vibrate is probably fine if you carry it in a shirt pocket, but if you carry it in a purse or bag it's not really loud enough and it's very easy to miss, even with the vibrate on. If my Peek is in my purse I pretty much have to remember to check it every so often, becuase I can't usually hear it ring.

    I think the ring needs to be louder as well. I don't hear it about 50% of the time. So, I have to check it every couple hours.

    Darn ringer! We are working on making it louder in the next version :( Meanwhile, we will soon have a software tweak with a LONGER ringer...at least that will help make it audible.
