Tech Support: How can I be sure to get a Peek with the latest software

    I want to go buy a Peek device tomorrow but Im sure the ones at my local Target have the old software running on 'em. If I' ve read this board correctly, its not possible to update the software after you buy it so should I order right from Peek to get the latest version?

    You can tell by looking at the bottom of the box. It'll have sticker on the bottom that says something like, "Version 01.04.00".

    My three local Targets all have 1.04s, so I gave in. I could have waited and ordered directly, but I was impatient.

    Hopefully the guys at Peek will figure out a solution to upload newer firmwares over the air, or provide us with some other way. It would make sense that this somehow has to be done...nobody, I would assume qould be willing to send in their $70 device (and pay for shipping both ways) to get this update.

    We'll wait and see.
