Definitely a monkeywrench in the Hotmail works since sometime Saturday. They did another of their famous "we are upgrading Hotmail to serve you better" messages. We are working on it!

thank you I guess that explains why I can send but not receive email. And I thought it was because I finally got the upgrade to work. I was thinking just great, after all that work to finally get the upgrade and then something like this happened. Thank goodness it is hotmail's fault.

thank god for these boards. i was woundering what was going on with my hotmail. cause i knew i had to have something come in within the last 48 hours and i log in and sure enough i had like 15 messages.

Hot mail, since last week, is accessible by POP3. That should make it much easier for everyone.

Tom - You mean the 1980's?

Yeah, no offense but I don't even know why people use hotmail. It's pretty sucky I think. :)

Hotmail is now clear. If you see issues still let me know. -- CORRECTION -- not quite yet... updates coming

@peekaddicted some of use hotmail cause we have had it so long and so many things have that email address on them that it would be more of a hassle to switch all of these companies that know my hotmail address then to just deal with little glitches they have..
but believe me. i would have gladly like to use a gmail as my main email account.
also i would like a more formal email address then pimpdaddypat but i was 15 when i signed up for the email address and that was almost 15 years ago so it was cool back then but now i just am embarrassed when i call a company for service like satellite radio or the cable company. and they make me verify my email address.
what's worse is when i have to give them my other "cool" email address i thought of when i was 16. Im not even posting it on the board... but yea thats really embarrassing having to repeat that over the phone.
but one of these days i will finally get around to making a appropriate email address and converting everything over to that and then i can just use one email address instead of several email addresses.
the thing is its so hard trying to get a gmail account even with your real name. people must just sign up random peoples names just to get those email addresses so they can sell them out or something. cause i tried so many ways of using my name in my email address and every time they suggest a number 4 or 271 or 52 or something like that at the end of it. and i don't want that i just want my name or a short abbreviation of my name in there. ohh well i have rambled on long enough. hehe

@pimpdaddypat---This is going to be so way off topic, but what you wrote is interesting! I have advertised for a position for a company I was working for, and some of the applicants, who were in their young 20's would put the email address they had for years which they first got as teenagers, on their resumes. Using kittybaby69@hotmail.com or sexygrl999@yahoo.com is not advisable on a professional resume. Over the years, I have used a variety emails addresses with juno.com years ago, when they were an dial-up email service, and modomail.com - a short lived email service. I finally decided that I did not want to have an email with loads of numbers because the good names got taken, so I registered a domain name just so I could give myself and friends cool email addresses! Now that I finally submitted to PamBudgie's persuasions and bought a Peek (which should be in my mailbox either today or tomorrow-she will get 2 free months and me one from her persuasive skills) I have to decide which of my email addresses I will have associated with my Peek. I need to have one of my professional/business emails, my personal (family and friends) and perhaps one for girlfriends. I sure wish Peek allowed for more email accounts.............

Pimpdaddypat et al with email addresses since they were 16. Not sure if it will help but if you want, I can give you your own peek email address, we've got a few of them (getpeek, geekypeek, mypeek, etc). Email me and you can have your real name at the email address or whatever you want. As a note we reserve these email addresses for only our most special customers!!!

wow thanks dan!!! i feel so loved and honored! i got offered a peek email over pam.
is pimpdaddypat that bad that peeks offering me company email accounts just to cover up the pimpness??? j/k
but thanks for the offer dan. but like i said before i have so many companies that have that email address that i would be affraid to not use it anymore incase i forget someone.

i guess i could have it forward the emails to my new email account though.
i'll have to think about it and see if its something i want to do.. but thanks for the offer and i will let you know if i decide to do it.
