    First, allow me to gush a bit on how much I love my Peek! I've had it since maybe Oct or Nov and have had lots of fun with it. (even talked a few buddies into buying their own)

    Second, I've requested crashtestpilot status 3-4 times but have yet to hear back. I can only assume that my emails didn't get through and am thinking I should send from the PC, not the PEEK! ROFL

    However, I'd love to upgrade ASAP (mine's still running 1.04) but don't want to buy a cable if that comes with the upgrade/test pilot program.

    Could someone let me know what's going on please?

    Hi JanaKay,
    I'm not an official Peek person - I'm someone who successfully signed up for the crash test pilot program. How I did it was to send an email to crashtestpilot@getpeek.com to request that status. Then, to be accepted, after I got a confirmation email back, I had to send in a pic of me doing something nifty with my Peek.

    I'm assuming you did the first. Just wondering.. .is your spam filter maybe catching the replies? And.. wouldn't surprise me if Peek wanted to put a limit on the number of pilot people, but given their generally high level of customer service, I'm thinking they would have told you that if that were the case.

    Well like I said, I've sent them 3-4 requests and was sort of joking when I said they weren't getting through when I sent them from my PEEK. Well, not really joking, but kind of seriously inferring my emails weren't getting through. I have had some problems with that, and I know others have, as well.

    I also emailed them from my PC a few weeks ago, along with that nifty pic, but no response there either. Nothing in spam, I always check that before I dump it. (gonna do that again now!)

    I will just assume, like you suggested, that they have enough testers and didn't bother to let us losers know we weren't chosen. <G>

    I'm chomping at the bit for an upgrade, though. The slooooooowness of this thing really makes me crazy, and I'm hoping the 1.08 will remedy that.

    Hey JanaKay - it's Pam with a puzzled look on her face. You said you sent the pic? That implies you got at least one communication - the one that said to send the pic. No? Yes? If yes... did you see the email earlier this week (I think it was this week) asking for shipping address info by today?

    And if you've already straightened this out with the official Peek folks.. feel free to ignore this rambling.

    Well no, I only sent something because I read it somewhere-here or a blog. I thought I needed to do since I hadn't heard from them. But nothing asking for a shipping address.

    I talked to Tom earlier this evening when I signed up for the lifetime thing and he said he'd check it out for me.

    And I never ignore rambling, because I would hate for MY rambling to be ignored. lol
