Somehow, I've lost (misplaced) my Peek. I'm pretty sure it's around the house, but the battery is dead and I can't find it after looking for two hours.

However, I have a spare - I bought two of them on clearance at Target. I've got the upgrade cable, so I can put the latest firmware on the spare once
    I unbox it.

What do I need to do in order to get this one "swapped out" with the active one on my account that I misplaced?

@billbradford - Email me, tmel@getpeek.com with your lost Peek's IMEI and your new Peek's IMEI. I'll swap them out in our system for you.

Doing so will deactivate your lost Peek, and activate your new Peek in its place and you pick up right where you left off!

tmel - thanks, just fired off an email from the account my Peek uses.

Just wanted to thank tmel for the awesome weekend customer service! My spare Peek is activated (although there seem to be some issues with gmail right now).
(and I just ordered another spare Peek off ebay just in case...)

@billbradford - Nope, no issues with Gmail right now.

We just have a little activation latency at times before things kick on. You should download your last 5 gmail messages and after that only new email as it comes in. However, this can take 1-2 hours to start happening sometimes.

Does this work even if you are replacing a lost/broken Pronto with a spare Standard?

darkxsun: When I bought both Peeks, they were 1.04s from Target. I've bought the upgrade cable, so for the replacement I just did the 1.09.18 update, and tmel swapped the IMEI's in the system.

Yeah, but for a Peek that is already at 1.09, and is designated on the server as a Classic, I'm wondering if it could replace a broken Pronto and carry over the Pronto features.

@darkxsun - We do have the ability to do that. It wouldn't be very cool of us if we charged you a $40.00 upgrade fee from Classic to Pronto, when you originally had a Pronto.

Ah. Good to know. I've been meaning to get a spare, that's why. Thanks.

@tmel: actually, several of us *are* still having Gmail issues, so there are issues with Gmail right now. Check the Gmail contacts thread for details.

@Valzi - Yup, I am very aware of the Gmail issues.

However, we had no issues specific to billbradford receiving email upon registering his email account on the new device.

Just as tmel said, everything started flowing fine a couple hours after activation.

    @tmel: Sorry, I misunderstood!
