    Currently I keep just getting an error message when ever I try to download the contacts from either gmail account I have telling me to call peek. My service is working just fine I am getting emails and this is a new lifetime peek, help please! This thing is useless unless I can text to my contacts. I have not tried other email yet that is my next step.

    We changed how we connect to Gmail to improve the speed/reliability of our connection to them.

    This would be a side affect of doing so, I can't download my Gmail contacts either right now....but expect it to be fixed in the next few days at most!

    Alright thank you for the response. When exploring other methods of adding contacts I noticed that I could not use the https://webmail.pacific.edu (where my school email is) also was unable to use my account with inbox.com, any explanations?

    We can only download contacts from Gmail, Live/MSN/Hotmail, Yahoo and AOL.

    You're welcome to create a yahoo account, import your contacts, add it to your Peek, download and then remove the account.

    @kunfumike - What happened exactly? I was able to download some Yahoo contacts a few minutes ago.

    I was successful at adding a new yahoo account to my peek (making it my third email account) but when I went to download contacts and selected my yahoo account I got the message "sorry, we can't find any contacts for this account...". Furthermore it now seems that I am not getting email from any of my emails when I was getting them just fine around noon on the 14th (scratch that I just got the welcome email from yahoo sent oct 14 11:19pm received 12:44am oct 15 It was entirely html).

    @kunfumike - Did you export your contacts from Gmail and import them into the Yahoo account?

    We sometimes have a little bit of activation latency when you add a new account to your Peek, so it might taken an hour or so to catch up.

    Well I am getting gmail emails with little to no latency now but I can not download the contacts on my yahoo or gmail account they both say that they can not find any contacts on that account. Please post when the contacts should be working.

    We will be pushing a new server release out on 10/26 I believe which will include a fix for the Gmail Contact download issue. To my knowledge, Yahoo contacts are currently functional.

    This server release will also reduce receiving time with AOL/Yahoo to roughly 3 minutes from the time it hits your Inbox and gets to our mail server.

    Its 10/26 today and gmail contact download still isn't working. Anyone know when this will be fixed?

    On another thread they said another fix would be later this week. Probably goes for this one too.

    @karuser530/Eric - the gmail contact fix will go with the "reply" patch which is slated for later this week. We're still testing which is why its delayed. We want to make sure that not only these issues are fixed, but also that everything else is working perfectly.

    Ah, I just emailed peekcare to ask about what to do since I still had issues after the patch, which I had thought had been applied. Is there anywhere we can see when changes occur? Even a list of version numbers for your server would be nice, but a changelog with a newsfeed would be amazing.

    My email (Gmail) has been completely nonfunctional for everything but outgoing mail for me since about October 20th, so I'm a bit frustrated when the fix is supposed to occur but I can't tell that it has not.

    Gmail send/receive e-mails has been working fine for me. I cannot download my contacts today (10/28/09), as I was previously able several weeks ago.

    I'm still not able to sync contacts. I keep getting a "Sorry, we can't find any contacts for that account." message. It's been about three weeks. Any updates as to what's going on or when contacts will be sync-able again?

    We know this is very frustrating for everyone. We have the fix in place, among other things. However, there are other factors involved before we deploy it to everyone.

    In the mean time, you can export your Gmail contacts to a Yahoo account. Add the Yahoo account to your Peek, download the contacts and then remove the Yahoo account.

    This is the same pending server release that will fix replies (reply-all, and editing reply to: field), correct? Any updated ETA?

    Sweet. I miss that "reply all" button (grad school professors love group projects). It's just not the same when you have to press "forward" and then add each member's address.

    Note that for Peek to download your contacts, the contacts have to have an email address.

    Peek won't download any contacts that don't have an email address in them:
