    Not an outage, per se, but a bad bug in the SMS gateway today. I sent out ONE message addressed to the phones of a few friends at about 12:45pm Mountain, trying to make plans for tonight. Instead of friendly affirmative responses, I got angry hate mail because my message was sent between 5 and 20 times. That's unacceptable behavior.

    I love you guys, but I'm not going to use the SMS gateway until I have some reasonable assurance that I won't waste my friends' money like this any more.

    Well they should also check to see whether or not messages cost money just to receive them. I know Sprint for me has it set up to where if I open a text message it would cost money. Just my two cents.

    Also, if you sent an email from a computer with the same result, Peek isn't at fault.

    Just tried to a friends phone...one message only. I haven't experienced this yet. Seems kinda odd....

    marudai - we've been trying to replicate this behavior today. Are you still experiencing duplicate sends - you can email me at gabe @ getpeek . com and maybe we can setup a little test session where you attempt to text me duplicates to my phone.

    Thanks

    @gabe

    It turns out that one of my friends was being a bit hyperbolic when she said 20, so the worst anyone saw was 5 repeats. I have not had it happen since. Given that, is there anything else I can do to help you solve the problem? (Also, everyone I messaged is on Verizon's network, coincidentally.)
