I ordered a Pronto this morning, trusting that texting was going to be a little simpler than the short demo I saw on the site. The owner said "all you need to do is enter the cell phone number of the person you want to contact" and type the message. No problem... but I presume that you can simply reply to someone once the text conversation has begun, and that you don't have to retype the entire cell number each time you want to send a message back... right?

Right - All you do is reply - no rocket science.

However, be aware that the Peek doesn't presently have a character counting function, so you have to make sure you don't go past the 160-character limit. I have found that few SMS gateways will split an over-long text message into multiple messages; most simply truncate the message.

To clarify, to respond to a text you'd press the wheel on the side and select Reply from the menu.
